Thank You to All the Volunteers Who Helped Make the Band Festival Such a Success
The Band Festival committee would like to thank all the volunteers who came out yesterday and helped make the 6th annual Bergen County Invitational Band Festival such a rousing success. Your energy, courtesy and dedication resonated throughout the facility and showed the visitors from across New Jersey and New York the true spirit of Bergenfield. While there are too many of you to list here, you know who you are and we are eternally grateful.
There are a few people who need to be mentioned, however. Anne Marie Bishopp and Suzanne Wilson did a tremendous job in securing ads for the band journals, bringing more than twice as much revenue as in any previous year. The Friends of Music officers and Executive Board - Mike Dobrovolsky, Sue Schielzo, Gina Philpott, Patti Enders, and Dave Hoffer - for their support and assistance throughout the planning and the execution stages of the Festival. We would also like to thank Brian Timmons and his staff for their support and assistance throughout the process. To the Tri-M students who served as band guides, we would like to thank you for doing a wonderful job. You served as ambassadors for your school, and you represented us vey well. To the Bergenfield High School Marching Band, words cannot describe the pride we feel when you march onto the field and we here the opening notes of "Rule, Britannia". Once again, you rose to the occassion yesterday and gave yet another sterling performance. Congratulations on another great season.
Finally, we would like to thank all the businesses who showed their support through band journal ads. Special thanks go to NVE Bank, Aspen Limousine Service, O. DiBella Music, Joey's Main Street Deli, Arista Trophies, Keystone Printing and Papa John's for their services that are an integral part of our success.
We hope you all had a positive experience yesterday and we look forward to working with you next year.
