Band and Orchestra
 A record number of performances have been completed by the Junior High Band and Orchestra this year. In addition to the Christmas performances and the school play, there were two concerts, and graduation exercises. Also, for the first time, precision marching drills were executed by the Band in the Memorial Day Parade.    The Junior High School Band and Orchestra, which is directed by Mr. Richard Friend, has become an integral part of life at Roy W. Brown Junior High.
Vocal Music
 Once again this year the ninth grade chorus participated in the State Junior High School Choral Festival on the campus of Jersey City State College in March. This was in addtion to the traditional school programs to which the chorus always contributes its performances: The Christmas program, the Spring Concert and the Graduation Exercises. The Ninth Grade Chorus meets on school time and is directed by Mr. Philip Hagemann.
