Clubs and Activities
Service Club
Once again this year the Service Club has been quite active. The twenty-five members, all selected upon faculty recommendation, have participated in uch activities as the Bundle Day Used Clothings Campaign in connection with Save the Children Gederation, a school-wide current events survey which noted student reaction to world problems, establishment of a current events bulletin board, and a spring clean-up campaign. The group also srved as guides for the scholastic fair in January, and cosponsored the Variety Show in February. The group is advised by Mr. Lewis Brown.

Nature Club
Nature walks around the school property, Cooper's Pond, and other locations around Bergenfield have enabled the twenty-five members of the Nature Club to see for themselves some of the natural things they have learned about in the museums of the area. As well as making excursions around Bergenfield, the club visited the Coney Island Aquarium, American Museum of Natural History, Bronx Botannical Gardens, and other plances in its searche for knowledge of the great outdoors.
Miss Patricia Podesta serves as a sponsor and advisor for the group.

Traffic Squad
Fifty hard-working students comprise the Traffic Squad in order that the school may be kept neat and orderly. In its past five years of existence the Squad has not only been able to keep the school neat and orderly but also keep the students from abusing the school facilities. To be considered for a post on the Traffic Squad, students need the recommendations of their individual homeroom teachers. These recommendations are based on the student's spirit, reliability, attitude, and academic standing. The leaders of the organization included Mr. Vincent Masarro, sponsor of the Squad, its Captain, Ann Martino, and Co-captain Dorothy Umscheid

Stage Crew
This small but active service organization plays the records for all the dances, builds the scenery for the school plays, Variety Show, and concerts, and works at all the assemblies. Many skills are required for the accomplishment of these jobs. A knowledge of carpentry, physics, electricity, and electronics is needed if the member of the Crew is to be successful at his work. The responsible boys of the Stage Crew, under the direction of Mr. Robert Quackenbush, spend many hours after school and into the night working at their tasks.
