The Bergenfield Doo Wop's

During the 50's, 60's, and perhaps into the 70's
Bergenfield spawned a great number of vocal and instrumental groups.
This archive is dedicated to preserving their memory and the music they created
for the next generations to enjoy.

Fish and Chips

Fish'Chips were 3 BHS alumni; Steve Mann[guitar] [guitar], Rich Kleckner [bass, vocals], and Don Swicker [drums]. Also included were Pete Trugiani,[guitar], and Bruce [Fish] Herring [dancing, volcals]. All came from Bergen County. The Band was short lived, but opened for several now world-famous acts, now 40 yrs. later. At that time, the British invation was hot, and anyone from our country who could emulate them had somewhat of an edge, so it seemed.
