Bergenfield Friends of Music
Kangaroo Jones was formed when songwriter Brian Riback met guitarist Steve Lefkow and the two gelled immediately. The two began to write song after song before they even had a band. The two joined forces with other area musicians and performed throughout the New York area. The following years saw band members come and go until guitarist Chris Richmond joined the band and solidified Kangaroo Jones’ core trio. A few years later, the band met Bergenfield HS music teacher Joe Dubbiosi, a Julliard graduate with amazing bass guitar and violin skills. The group is complemented by the Marsupial Horns, featuring 2010 BHS alumni Stevan Torres on saxophone, Ryan Zadrozna on trumpet and harmonica and Jared Cardenas on trombone. Reggie Gamble on drums completes the roster.
Tickets for the concert are $ 10.00 for adults and $ 5.00 for seniors and students. Tickets will be available at the door only.
