Today Bergenfield is not only the home of a World Renowned Music Program but also the home of the most winning Drum Corps in History, The Cadets of Bergen County. The Cadets, originally know as The Holy Name Cadets, moved to Bergenfield from Garfield. But the first Drum Corps to call bergenfield home was "The Ravens" Started in 1951 by George and Dorothy Gow, the "Ravens" called Bergenfield home until they moved to Dumont in 1956 when they became the Dumont Police Cadets. The program started by George and Dorothy Gow touched the lives of many children, and through the generations is still lending a positive influence on kids all across the United States. |
